SJDA's 13th annual Dine Downtown San Jose continues through July 18, featuring 26 restaurants offering chef’s specials, price-fixed three- and four-course dinners and food and drink pairings.  

Have you taken a look at the offerings?  Not only are they appetizing, they are full of fun and creativity. Here are some samples menus to get you going: 

Petiscos: Three-course menu that includes appetizers from flamed chouriço to asparagus rice; 15 choices for the main course from these categories:  shells & claws, tentacles & scales, and feathers & bones; and five choices for “sweet endings. 

71 Saint Peter: Sweet potato fries, coriander seared ahi tuna slider and black tea tiramisu, with optional wine flight with each course

Pastelaria by Adega: Grilled cheese sandwich, drink and pastry.  

The Farmers Union: American favorites including Caesar salad, fried chicken and warm chocolate brownie

Grace Deli and Café:  Breakfast combo of egg, bacon, avocado and hash browns with salsa and fruits, plus bottomless coffee. 

Good Spot:  Shot and a choice of oyster on the half shell with ponzo tobiko; brussel parmesan deviled egg; or chicken karaage bite

The Grill on the Alley:  A featured cocktail –  a Ruby Red Lemon Drop – goes with their three-course meal of appetizer, filet mignon pot pie or Norwegian halibut as entrée and dessert. 

Habana Cuba:  Turkey croquetas, beef empanadas, yuca frita and passion fruit mojito (from the Fountainhead)

Il Fornaio: Classic Italian choices. When listed in Italian, everything sounds delicious.

Nomikai social food + drinkery:  Choose from mango jalapeno wings, pork belly musubi on the food side or P.O.G Pig or a green tea highball

Nox Cookies: S’more cookies! Yum.

Orchestria Palm Court: Sampler trio of seared salmon with passion fruit sauce; grass-fed tenderloin and gulf shrimp with garlic butter sauce on quinoa

Scott’s Chowder House: Maine lobster roll, Boston clam chowder and fries

Scott’s Seafood: Tuna Tartare, Scallops risotto and Pistachio Creme Brulee

Voltaire Coffee House: Coffee item plus breakfast sandwich plus banana bread or pumpkin walnut bread.
